My name is Daria and I am a recent graduate from SVA’s BFA 3D Animation & VFX department! My focus is in stop motion fabrication , CG modeling and set dressing, and illustration but I also dabble in CG look development and lighting!
I enjoy telling stories by making the very small and sometimes unnoticeable parts of our world into something magical. I love coming up with reasons why the grass pops from the sidewalk or what exactly might be in the crumbs beneath a couch cushion.
Before my time at SVA I studied Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science at Binghamton University. and much of my work is still inspired by science! I root everything I do in research organizing. I love making spreadsheets and over the past year have crafted production spreadsheets for my personal projects!
Aside from my CG work, I love exploring all the crafts I can get my hands on away from the computer. I am also delving into children’s book writng - a dream I’ve had since I read Mo William’s ‘Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus’. Also in my free time I love playing with my dog (Gus Gus, a very fluffy Bernedoodle), seeing different theater productions, and finding the best grilled cheese spots.
